We have believed in Lyoto since the very beginning as his very first sponsor, what has proved to have been a great decision. We are quite proud to take part of the trajectory of success of such an athlete.
Proud of a Pará company just like Bony Açaí, to contribute to a worldly recognized athlete from Pará.
What we are able to see in Lyoto’s family is quite similar to the Grace family’s history. Everything started in Belém – just like Açaí – which started in Belém and later spread all over the world.
LYOTO MACHIDA, “SPORT STRENGH AND DEDICATION”
The Paraense Karate fighter, Lyoto Machida, has full support from Bony “Açaí” and he is world wide consecrated. Machida began his carreer when he was very young, a child. He attributed his strength and dedication to his father Yoshizo Machida, who is as Karate master taught and trained him in many different kinds of Martial Arts. In 1998, Machida – the son, won the Brazilian Karate Championship, in 2002 he conquered his Pan-American title in Chile. Nowadays, Machida – the son, is one of the favorites in MMA (Mix Martial Arts) Championship, due to his abilities in Jiu-Jitsu, Sumo and Thailander Box.
Bony “Açaí” proudly sponsor a true champion, who is full of energy, and health, who is also an undefeated winner in all his MMA and UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) fights that had happened abroad, especially in the United the States. To Bony “Açaí”, Lyoto Machida is not only a champion in sports but a life champion. The company was not looking for one more famous athlete to exploit his image in order to associate to its brand, but an example to be followed concerning his character, dedication, courage, determination and inspiration. Inspiration to everyone who works for Bony “Açaí”. Congratulations Lyoto Machida.
Lyoto Machida has completed his mission. The Karate Fighter living in Belém and born in Salvador has become the first Brazilian champion of the half-weight category (93 kilos) from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) since Vítor Belfort, in 2004. This conquer has come in an unquestionable way after a fight on the early morning of yesterday, in Las Vegas, USA.
Lyoto, who is the only UFC fighter that has used Karate as his main style, knocked out the North American Rashad Evans, owner of the cincture, on the second assault. As a result, he has got his 15th consecutive victory in his career – six of them from UFC – and has maintained his invincibility.
'The Dragon is the Champion. Karate is back!', Lyoto Machida shouted, wrapped by the flags of Pará and Brazil, after being awarded the cincture of the half-weights of the most important world tournament Fromm MMA (Mixed Martial Arts).
